What's New

Retail

  1. Quick Edit – You can now edit Retail Item details directly from the POS, eliminating the need to navigate to the Back Office (BO) for routine updates. Edit the item’s Price, Name, and Stock Quantity directly within the POS. Changes apply instantly and sync across the system in real-time. This reduces workflow interruptions during active billing/checkout, provides faster corrections at the point of sale, improves inventory and pricing accuracy and reduces dependency on BO access for minor updates.
  2. Dual Price Label For Retail – Product/Price/Shelf labels now display both a Cash Price and a Card Price, so customers can see upfront what they'll pay based on their payment method. Cash purchases show the discounted rate, while card payments reflect the standard price with surcharge included.
  3. Octopus: Active Checks Full Void / Partial Item Void / Partial Item Quantity Void - This phase builds on foundation of the Octopus payment refund integration for Retail POS, extending support to Full Void, Partial Void, and Partial Item Quantity Void processing for Active Sales where the original transaction session has already ended. This enables Octopus card void to be initiated post-sale, even after the original transaction session is closed. This ensures proper communication with Octopus to process the void request, correctly reverses the amount charged to the customer's Octopus card, and accurately reflects void transactions in sales reports and settlement records.
  4. Partial Quantity Void/Exchange/Refund
    1. Partial Quantity Void – The corresponding quantity will be reflected in all inventory-relevant areas. This will apply to Retail stores only. When Retail items are voided in POS, then void will work based on the Add to Inventory toggle (when enabled, the item will be added to inventory).
    2. Partial Quantity Exchange – The corresponding quantity will be reflected in all inventory-relevant areas. This will apply to Retail stores only and will work based on the Add to Inventory option in POS.
    3. Partial Quantity Refund – The corresponding quantity will be reflected in all inventory-relevant areas. This will apply to Retail stores only and will work based on the Add to Inventory option in POS.

Online Ordering

  1. Surcharge and Surcharge Tax in Online Ordering – A Surcharge line item has been added below the Tax line item on the payment screen. Surcharge is calculated only for specific payments based on the percentage configured in Back Office. Surcharge Tax is calculated only when the Apply Surcharge Before Tax toggle is enabled. When enabled, the Surcharge is applied before Tax and the Total is calculated accordingly. When disabled, the Surcharge is applied after Tax, followed by the Total. BIN range detection via the gateway is included as part of this enhancement.
  2. Show Cash and Card Price in Online Ordering – When a customer selects the Pay at Store payment method and the Show Cash And Card toggle is enabled, then Cash and Card prices are displayed as separate fields on the payment page.

Enhancements

Retail

  1. Final Total Including Tip in CDS - The final Total Amount will be displayed in the Total field in the CDS.
  2. Loyalty Balance in CDS - A customer's available Loyalty Balance in the CDS during the Ordering and Payment process. The objective is to provide customers with real-time visibility of their Loyalty points and Redemption details whenever a Loyalty Customer is attached to an Order.
  3. Offline Payment Enhancement - We are improving Offline Payments functionality to improve operational efficiency of POS and Mobile when operating in environments with intermittent internet connectivity.
  4. Auto-Advance After Tip Selection - An enhancement to the CDS where after a customer selects a Tip Percentage, will automatically proceed to payment. This eliminates the need to manually press the Process Payment button.

POS

  1. Multi Item Selection In Split Check And Split By Seat – Introduced multi-select functionality in the POS Split Check and Split by Seat screen, allowing users to select and move multiple items to another check in a single action. This enhancement streamlines the split check process, reduces manual effort, and improves speed and efficiency during order management.
  2. Rename Gratuity – A configurable Gratuity Label in Back Office, allowing you to replace the default Gratuity label with a custom-named label. The configured label is displayed consistently across POS, Customer Display System (CDS), Receipts, and Reports, while gratuity calculations and reporting logic remain unchanged.
  3. Convert Active Order To Future Order – A Now/Later toggle is being introduced in the POS order header, allowing you to convert Active orders into Future orders at any time during the ordering process. You can schedule orders by selecting a Date and Time, enter the scheduled Time directly using a numeric keypad, and even switch the Order back to Now before completion if needed.
  4. Flexible Advertisement Display for CDS – Introducing configurable advertisement display modes for the Customer Display System (CDS), allowing you to use separate advertisement images for Idle and Active statuses. A new Back Office setting enables or disables full-screen idle advertisements while maintaining backward compatibility when only a single advertisement image is configured.
  5. Guest Count on Kitchen Receipt and KDS – A Guest Count option is being added in the Back Office under the Kitchen Printer Template Settings, enabling the Guest Count (Seat Count) for Dine-In orders to be printed on Kitchen Receipts and displayed on the Kitchen Display System (KDS).
  6. Simultaneous Bill and Kitchen Receipt Printing – A new toggle is being added in Back Office Kitchen Printer Settings that allows you to configure whether Kitchen Receipt and Bill Receipt will be simultaneously generated when the Order option is selected. This provides greater control over Receipt generation based on your needs.
  7. Pickup Time Synchronization – Added support for synchronizing dynamic Preparation Time across Active and Updated orders.
  8. Surcharge and Surcharge Tax Implementation – The Surcharge line item is being added below the Tax line item on the Payment screen. Surcharge is calculated only for specific payments based on the percentage configured in Back Office. Surcharge Tax is calculated only when the Apply Surcharge Before Tax toggle is enabled. When enabled, the Surcharge is applied before Tax, and the Total is calculated accordingly. When disabled, the Surcharge is applied after Tax, followed by the Total.
  9. Show Cash and Card Price – When a customer selects the Pay at Store payment method and the Show Cash And Card toggle is enabled, then Cash and Card prices are displayed as separate fields on the Payment page.

Payments

  1. QR Code Payment – Payments can be completed from devices using a QR Code, based on BO configuration.
  2. Centralized Batch – Batch payment can be completed in a default node configured in Back Office Settings.
  3. After Tip for Handheld Device – After Tip functionality is implemented for handheld device payment. If the After Tip is enabled in Back Office, then Tip will be applied after payment.

Consumer

  1. KIOSK Cash Rounding – The KIOSK now supports configurable Cash Rounding for Pay at Counter orders with Cash payments based on the configuration in Back Office. The Cash Rounding amount is displayed as a separate line item on the Payment screen and is included in the final Total. The Cash Rounding adjustment is also printed on the KIOSK receipt. For Partial Payment orders, the existing payment flow remains unchanged, and any applicable Cash Rounding is processed in the POS.
  2. Custom App Cash Rounding – The Online Ordering Custom App now supports configurable Cash Rounding for Pay at Store orders with Cash payments based on the configuration in Back Office. The Cash Rounding amount is displayed as a separate line item on the Payment screen and is included in the final Total. The rounded amount is also displayed on the Order History screen and in the Order Confirmation email. For Partial Payment orders, the existing payment flow remains unchanged, and any applicable Cash Rounding is processed in the POS.
  3. Queue App Alignment – Legacy features have been integrated into the updated Queue app to ensure alignment. New enhancements have also been implemented, with no changes to existing functionality.
  4. Updated Branding in Scheduler – The screens in Scheduler have been updated to display the new logo, providing a refreshed and consistent branding experience across the application.
