Introduction:
This document explains about the new working flow for CDS. This is used for improved performance and connectivitiy.
New workflow for CDS :
1. The customer has to Download the CDS application from App store and install the app on the device. The URL to download the application
2. Once the application is downloaded , Enable the “display over other apps” option in the CDS app from app settings.
1. (Navigation- Settings>>Apps >> CDS Application>> Display over other apps>Allow display over other apps) .
2. Navigation- Settings>>Apps >> CDS
Application>> Draw over other apps>Permit draw over other apps). ( In some devices the following navigation works).
3. Once the display over other apps toggle is enabled for the CDS application , it automatically connects with the POS by default. Just in case if the cds is not connected with POS , the following alerts messages will be shown in the hardware settings in POS.
· If the CDS application is not installed , the following message will be shown-( CDS) APP NOT INSTALLED.
· When display over other apps permission is not enabled , the following message will be shown- Please enable manage overlay permission from APP settings.
The following screen will be shown when the CDS application is connected with POS.
( Navigation- Log into POS>>Operation>>Hardware
settings>> Customer display )
Alerts shown in POS when CDS application is not Installed.
1. When the customer has not installed the CDS application the following pop up should be shown on the PIN page in POS

When customer
tries to connect the CDS in hardware settings without installing the app -the following
screen should be shown
Note – The following alert messages will not be shown when the CDS application is installed .
3. When trying to connect CDS from hardware settings, without enabling the display over other apps permission, the app shall notify the user with the following message on the same page.
Upon
clicking done -The pop up window will be closed for all the screens .
