Retail Back Office: Enterprise Settings - Central Inventory


Navigation: Sign into the Back OfficeOn the left-side Navigation Panel, click Enterprise. Then click Settings. On the Settings page, under Central Inventory, select Inventory Costing.
     

  1. The Inventory Costing page has options to select stores for Costing Methods (Weighted Average and Latest Price), with tabs containing information for both.
              


  2. Under Costing Method Per Stores: select the Store(s) from the Weighted Average dropdown by clicking the corresponding box(es) (checkmark appears).


  3. For Latest Price, all Stores will be selected by default. The below selection will work for inventory.


    1. If all stores aren’t under either Weighted Average or Latest Price, then the error message ‘Make sure all the stores are selected under this enterprise’ will appear.



  4. The default Latest Price calculation for each Store can be changed only once based upon the dropdown selection (where all the Stores will be available in the dropdown).
  5. Upon selecting any specific Stores for Weighted Average then that same Store cannot be chosen for Latest Price (that selected Stores will be greyed out) and vice-versa.


  6. If the setting is being changed from Latest Unit Price to Weighted Average (or vice versa) then a Reminder pop-up will appear with the message 'Previous data will not be changed when user changes from Latest Unit Price to Weighted Average or vice versa. The new changes will be applicable from the time the setting has been changed, along with YES and NO buttons with the option to Close the pop-up.
    1. Note: The following messages appear at the bottom, below the Latest Price dropdown
      1. * No changes occur when particular store is removed from Weighted Average/Latest Unit Price and added to the same Weighted Average/Latest Unit Price list.
      2. * Once the changes are made you will not be able to edit the Inventory Price Setting. For further changes Please contact Support.

  7. If any Store was missed, then they will be assigned to Latest Unit Price by default.

  8. When ready, click Save. The confirmation pop-up appears at the upper-right.
