In Back Office, you must configure Service Types for Tokenization in Payment Settings.
Navigation: Log into the Back Office for your Store, then select Settings > Payments > Payments
For the Tokenize The Credit Card toggle:
If enabled (set to Yes), the Card details will be Customer's profile andtokenization will be applied to Retail.
If disabled (set to No), the Card details won't be saved under the Customer's profile.
POS
After placing an Order:
On the Payment screen: select MPPG payment method and pay using Card in Magtek devices. A Customer must be attached to the Order.
When the Customer uses a new card for Payment: a pop-up with the message 'Do you want to Tokenize your card' and Yes or No options appears.
If Yes, the Card details will attached to the customer. In Customer profile screen under the Credit Card tab the partially-masked Card Number will be displayed.
If No, then no payment will be made and card will not be saved.
If Yes but the Customer is not attached to the Order:
The Customer Details pop-up appears, where you can Search for the Customer or enter their details in the following fields: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and Email.
Click Save. The Customer's details will be saved and attached to the Order.
If Cancel, the pop-up will be closed without attaching a Customer to the Order.
In the future, the same Customer orders and makes payment using same Card. The Choose Card pop-up appears which displays all Cards saved to the Customer's Account.
If the same Customer orders and makes payment using a different Card wasn't saved to the Customer's profile, the 'Tokenize' pop-up appears.
If Yes, the card will be saved for the customer.
If No, the payment will be made & card will not be saved.
Select a Card to make payment then select Pay.
If Pay is selected without selecting any Card, then the message 'Please select the card' appears.
If New Card is selected: swipe the card again and the Tokenize pop-up appears, following the same process as above.
If an existing card was swiped: the Payment page (with card details) and payment will be completed as-usual.
If user clicks on Cancel, the Choose Card pop-up closes and you're returned to the Payment page.
Notes:
If the selected Service Type is disabled when attempting to tokenize the credit card, the Choose Card Details won't appear.
There is no restriction for number of cards addition.
