POS: Customer Profile Screen




Adding a Customer to an Order

To add a Customer to the Order:
  1. Tap on the icon of a person's profile with a plus (+) sign  at the top of the Order section.

  2. The Add Customer screen appears.


  3. To add an existing Customer to the Check: type their name in the Search box then select it, and the Customer will be added to the Check immediately.
    1. The + Add Customer button is only for creating a new Customer profile, which can then be added to the Check after saving.

New Customer

  1. To add a new customer, tap on the Add New option. The Customer Profile screen appears.

    1. You can search for an existing Customer using the Search (magnifying glass) option at the top of the screen.

  2. When adding a new Customer: you can enter details such as First NameLast NameCustomer Identification Number (for identifying a Customer by Number during a sale), BirthdayMobile NumberAddressEmailNationalityNotes, and Credit Card details. These fields are available for capturing Customer information, but most are optional.
    1. If the Disable Customer Nationality toggle in Back Office (Settings > General Settings) is Disabled [set as No], the Customer's Nationality will appear on their profile in POS.
      1. It will be Enabled [set as YES] by Default, and the customer's Nationality will not appear on their profile.


  3. You can add multiple Phone Numbers and the Addresses by tapping on the + Add  option.

  4. By enabling the Tax Exempt option, then whenever a sale is created for the respective Customer they will be exempt from Tax.

  5. You can upload a Photo of the Customer by tapping on the Camera  button. You can enter any additional notes regarding the Customer in the Notes field. 

  6. When satisfied with all information entered, press Save. The Customer will automatically be attached to the Order.


Editing a Customer's Details

If the customer’s name is attached to the Order and you need to Edit the details, then on the Order screen:

Tap on the customer’s Name. The Customer Profile screen appears. On this screen, you can:
  1. Add/Edit the Customer’ Phone Number and Address
  2. Change the Photo of the Customer
  3. View previous Orders made by the Customer



Adding Credit Card Details

Back Office

Navigation: Log into your Store, then select Settings > Store > Payment Settings
  1. In BO Admin, the Tokenization The Credit Card toggle must be set to Yes to add Credit Card details on the POS Customer Profile screen. For more information on Payments in Back Office, see the Store Payment Settings Knowledge Article.
    1. If set to No, then Credit Card details can't be added.

POS

When adding a new Customer or updating an existing Customer, you can add Credit Card details on the Customer Profile screen to save it for future use. There is no restriction to the number of Cards that can be added to a profile.
  1. Click on the corresponding Add button for the Credit Card field.


  2. On the Add Card pop-up window that appears:


    1. In the Card No# field, enter the card number (maximum of 16 numbers).

    2. In the Exp Date field, enter the expiration date as a string of 4 numbers (example: 1234, no hyphens or slashes).
      1. If the date is not valid, the message 'Invalid Expiration Number' appears.

    3. Once valid card info has been added, click Process Token. Card details will be added and attached to the Customer's profile.
      1. If the card details are not valid, the message 'Invalid Credit Card Number' appears.
      2. If the entered card details already exist on the profile, then the message 'Entered Credit Card already exist' appears.

  3. On the Customer Profile screen, click Save to save the attached card details to the Customer's profile.

  4. Click on the Credit Card drop down to view credit cards saved to the Profile, in the form of masked Card Numbers (showing the last 4 numbers). You cannot delete Card details attached to a Customer's profile from POS.

Receipts

Transaction Type will be displayed as Save Card [Customer Name] in MC, CC, Itemized receipts. Below are the sample receipts:
            


Customer Plan

On a Customer Profile screen:

  1. Press the Customer Plan button at the lower-left. You are taken to the Customer Plan screen where you can view the details of the Customer’s House Account.


  2. By enabling the Allow Credits option, the customer can utilize the house account payment at the POS beyond the account balance until the specified maximum limit is reached. Later, the customer can recharge the house account.

  3. By enabling the Enable Limit option, the Customer can utilize the house account payment in the POS until the specified limit is reached.

  4. By enabling the Enable Max Limit option, you can define the maximum amount of the Credits allowed.

  5. You can select the Limitation Period as DailyWeekly, or Monthly.

  6. Enter the Limit and the Maximum Amount.

  7. When ready, press the Save button. After saving, you will be taken to the Customer Profile screen.

Recharge House Account

To recharge the House Account of a Customer:
  1. On the Customer Plan screen, provide the Account Number and the Recharge Amount, then press Continue.


  2. Press the Save button. You will be taken to the Order screen to view the Recharge details as an Order.


  3. Once the payment is processed, the Amount will be recharged to the selected Customer's House Account.

Repeat Order

On the Customer Profile screen:

  1. Select an Order from the Customer’s list of Previous Order and select Repeat Order.


  2. The Menu Item(s) from the original Order will be cloned. You can Remove/Edit items prior to pressing the Order or Payment options.

Display Order


On the Customer Profile screen:

  1. Select a Previous Order then select Display Order.


  2. You are taken to the Check Summary screen where you can view the details of the selected Order's Check.


Loyalty

On the Customer Profile screen:

  1. Select the Loyalty button (including the total balance).



  2. The Loyalty Balance window appears, where you can view the history of Loyalty point accrual by the selected Customer. Once complete: close out of the Loyalty Balance window.



  3.  Click Save on the Customer Profile screen and you're taken to the Order screen.
